This Privacy Policy outlines how DisCam WebApp Software handles the collection, use, and sharing of your data. By using the DisCam WebApp, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Please read this document carefully before using the software.
1. Data Handling and Sharing
- Local Storage (Before Online Save Button is Pressed): Any photos or videos captured using the DisCam WebApp are stored locally in your browser’s cache. This data is automatically deleted when you leave the site, unless manually saved to your device. Photos can be downloaded to your browser's downloads folder, and videos are automatically saved to the downloads folder when created.
- Online Save Feature: Your data (photos, videos, and IP address) will only be shared or made available publicly once the Online Save button is pressed. Before this, no data is uploaded or shared with any third-party servers.
2. Public Availability of Online Saved Data
- Data Publicly Accessible: When you use the Online Save feature, your saved data (photos and videos) along with your IP address will be made publicly accessible. This data is organized in a folder named after your specific IP address on a GitHub server under DisCam.
- Deleting Your Data: As long as you retain access to the same IP address used during the saving process, you can delete all the photos and videos associated with that IP through the save menu on the DisCam WebApp.
- Inaccessible IP Address: If you no longer have access to the IP address, please contact us at crewverify@gmail.com for assistance in removing your data.
3. Data Storage and Reliability
- GitHub Server Storage: Data saved using the Online Save feature is stored on a GitHub server under DisCam’s control.
- Local Browser Cache: If the Online Save feature is not used, all data remains stored locally in your browser’s cache and will be deleted when you leave the site.
- Unreliable Data Storage: DisCam cannot guarantee the security or reliability of stored data, whether in the local cache or on the GitHub server. Your data may be deleted at any time by our staff without prior notice or permission. Use the Online Save feature at your own risk.
4. Disclaimer
- No Data Security Guarantees: DisCam and its owner do not guarantee the security of any data saved, whether locally or online.
- Data Loss: DisCam, its owner, and affiliates are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to your files. Users are advised to use the software at their own risk.
By using DisCam WebApp Software, you agree to this privacy policy and acknowledge that you understand the risks associated with the handling and saving of your data.
